REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road tractor trailer experience.
- Minimum of 23 years of age.
- No DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
- No more than 1 preventable DOT reportable collision and no more than 2 preventable collisions of any type in the last 3 years.
- No suspensions, due to being a habitual violator, in the last 3 years.
- No convictions for reckless driving, evading an officer, or hit and run in the last 3 years.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Drives truck to destination in accordance with federal and state regulations, company policies and procedures and Fleet Manager recommendations.
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving.
- Uses acquired skills on safely maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in challenging situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License.
- Successful passing of a pre-employment drug screening, physical and job task analysis.
- Completion of pre-employment interviewing procedures and driver orientation sessions.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle and read receipts, maps, signs and maintain logs and records.
- Ability to communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.
